Ishay Simendoyev

I got the opportunity to interview Ishay. He has been around this business for a few years now and he really know his stuff. He is a web developer, blogger, coder, and recently an affiliate marketer. Let’s get to know Ishay and his job a little more.

Can you give me a brief introduction of yourself?

My name is Ishay. I’m 27 years old. I own and run a Digital Agency based in Israel. We provide web based solution for anything from a small business website to a full web application. In addition, we have our in-house design and SEO department.

The newest addition to my skill set is Affiliate Marketing – by use of SEO.

In my spare time I enjoy writing, blogging, diving or just a cool visit to the ocean. And most importantly, writing new articles for CodeLikePro 😊

What does your website provide?

Well, honestly, I didn’t expect CodeLikePro to succeed the way it did. It all started one day when I said to myself, let’s make a simple minimal tech blog. A place I could write and express my opinions, knowledge and experience.

Nowadays, CodeLikePro offers a wide range of articles. Starting from technical coding articles, code snippets, coupon codes, comparison articles and more.

Recently due to its success I launched a professional WordPress optimization service.

How did you first become interested in web developing and blogging?

I’m a 90’s kid.I got my first computer when I was 13. However, I was more of an outdoors kid growing up, I was less interested in computers and coding 😊

I only became interested in coding after my army service. I spent 1 year studying Civil Engineering. I completed the first year out of 4 and realized it wasn’t for me. That’s when I turned to coding

I graduated a Full stack development course. Got my experience working as a developer with a big company here in Israel.

On the third year I founded my own agency!

Regarding blogging, I always loved writing. Even as a kid. It just seemed natural for me to replace the pen with a keyboard. A bit after I started my blog, I stumbled upon the ideas of Affiliate Marketing. I always knew the concept but never tried it myself. Thus, the Affiliate part in CodeLikePro Was Born.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Well, as an Affiliate marketer my favorite part is writing.

2 more cool things I like are:

Receiving comments on articles, that is always fun. The second thing is, and let’s be honest, is to see SALES!

Can you tell me about a highlight or a great accomplishment in your career?

Well my Blog is relatively new, a great accomplishment I achieved is generating 13 sales in a single day. I was pretty excited!

What are some tips or tricks you would give someone just starting out?

If you want to start affiliating you need to keep in mind that it’s hard work. It’s not easy and there is no magic involved. In addition to this fact you need to be honest, keep to good practices and play nice with others.

By the way, choose subjects you can relate to, it will be easier starting off.

What does an average work day look like?

My average day is very flexible. Due to my main occupation as a developer most work is spent on that. With the extra and spare time, I work on CodeLikePro. I do try to fit in as many hours as I can to it, however I can’t do Affiliate Marketing full time at the moment.

How do you keep up with the constant changing of the internet? How do you stay up to date and knowledgeable?

I read a lot. When you do affiliate marketing you can’t afford to be lazy! You constantly need to keep track. Read other tech blog, visit your partners official website for updates on the service or product, keep in touch with marketing officers in companies you work with, read update changelogs, keep track on social media. Those are the main things.

What do you love about affiliate marketing?

Well, the best thing I love about Affiliate Marketing is the fact that you can reach and influence a lot of other people, only with the use of your words, it’s amazing when you think about it.

Thank you to Ishay for taking the time to answer these questions. Check out his website and read some of his amazing articles. He goes over everything from SEO, plugins, WordPress, hosting,  and so much more.

  2. You actually make it appear really easy together with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something which I think I’d never understand. It sort of feels too complicated and extremely extensive for me. I’m looking ahead to your next post, I’ll try to get the dangle of it!

  3. Hi there! Quick question that’s entirely off topic.
Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird when browsing from my iphone.
I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able
to fix this problem. If you have any suggestions, please share.

    Many thanks!
